Plurals
In Persian Language we add the suffix ها to the noun to make it plural. There is also the suffix ان only for some animates.
All the nouns can be in plural form, including the uncountable nouns.
If the word ends with long vowels: آ/او/ای then we insert ی before ان. For example: اقا becomes آقایان in the plural form.
When you add adjective to the plural noun, ی is inserted to connect noun and adjective together (Ezafe connector). For example:
کتاب ها + خوب = کتاب های خوب
Generic nouns are in singular forms. For example, the sentence من کتاب دوست دارم (I like books).
In Persian Language a plural noun is considered ” specific” unless it had a suffix /i/. For example: کتاب های.
