1. Pre-listening: A Direction to a Birthday Party

Sok is going to organize his birthday party next Friday night. He wants to write directions to his home from his university.​​​​​​ Read the directions and fill in the blanks.​

 

2. Listening: Conversation I

Listen to the conversation between Sokha (first speaker) and his father (second speaker). Sokha is asking for directions to go to the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh. Then, based on the map below, tell whether his father has given the right directions. Transcript of the conversation.

According to the map, from Central market, Sokha should walk straight east. At the traffic light, turn left and walk north. Turn left on Street 102 and walk straight. The US Embassy is on the right.

3. Post-listening: Drawing a Map

Sok is giving directions to his friend to get to his house from a local library. Listen and draw a map based on the description heard. Transcript of the directions.
