9.2 Sending Parcels from Cambodia

1. Pre-reading

Create a conversation based on the following questions.

  • មុនផ្ញើសំបុត្រ ឬឥវ៉ាន់នៅប្រៃសណីយ៍[1] គេត្រូវធ្វើអ្វីខ្លះ?[2]?
  • ជាធម្មតាផ្ញើកញ្ចប់មួយទៅប្រទេសអង់គ្លេសពីប្រទេសកម្ពុជាថ្លៃប៉ុន្មាន?
  • ត្រូវទិញតែមប្រិ៍តម្លៃប៉ុន្មាន?
  • ប៉ុន្មានថ្ងៃនឹងទៅដល់?

  • អាស័យដ្ឋាន: address
  • តែមប្រិ៍: stamp
  • កញ្ចប់: parcel
  • ថ្លឹង: to weight
  • ទម្ងន់: weight
  1. The terms ប៉ុស្តិ៍ and ប្រៃសណីយ៍, meaning post office, are synonyms. Both terms can also be combined as in ប៉ុស្តិ៍ប្រៃសណីយ៍ ↵
  2. When used after the question word អី្វ? "what?", the word ខ្លះ "some" implies plurality. In this question, the speaker is referring to what steps/procedures he should follow when sending a letter. ↵
