Acknowledgement
I would like to thank Rajiv Ranjan, the team lead. He has spent so much time and effort in making this an amazing opportunity for me and other writers. His book is a great inspiration for me to write my own.
I owe a big thank you to Danielle Steider, the LCLT Coordinator. She was the first to make Tamil classes at MSU go online long before the pandemic. I learnt a lot about the American education system and the pedagogy needed to teach a less commonly taught language from her.
My most sincere thank you to the OER team at MSU for their help and support. I appreciate their patience and help as I navigated and figured out the technology for using Pressbooks. Their attention to detail and inclusiveness is amazing. They were always there when I had any questions and helped me throughout this project. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you to all my friends and colleagues at MSU. I would like to thank Samyuktha Iyer, for helping me record the conversations for this book
I thank my Tamil teachers and mentors through the years who helped shape me and my love for Tamil. I would like to thank my students who inspire me everyday and have made a better teacher with their questions. Much of the information I have provided in this book answers the various questions that my Novice level students have asked me over the years when learning Tamil.
I would like to thank the following authors and websites for helping me find inspiration and ideas for this book
