Chapter 2.6 Classroom Expressions
In this chapter, we are going to learn some of the common classroom expressions and requests.
Classroom Expressions:

| Speak slowly. | மெதுவா பேசுங்க | metuvā pēcuṅka |
| Speak up/speak more loudly/please speak louder. | சத்தமா பேசுங்க | cattamā pēcuṅka |
| I don’t understand. | எனக்கு புரியலை | eṉakku puriyalai |
| What’s this? | இது என்ன? | itu eṉṉa? |
| What do you call this in Tamil? | இதை தமிழில் எப்படி சொல்லனம்? | Itai tamiḻil eppaṭi collaṉam? |
| Is this correct? | இது செரியா? | Itu ceriyā? |
| That’s right! | ஆமாம், அது செரி | Āmām, atu ceri |
| No, that’s wrong. | இல்லை, அது தப்பு | illai, atu tappu. |
| I can’t remember. | எனக்கு நியாபகம் இல்லை | Eṉakku niyāpakam illai |
| I don’t know. | எனக்கு தெரியாது. | eṉakku teriyātu. |
| Say the answer. | பதில் சொல்லுங்க. | Patil colluṅka. |
