4.5 Durative Participle
When speaking about multiple actions, we use a durative participle. This might be in present tense, past tense, or future tense.
- నేను కాఫీ తాగుతున్నాను.
- సినిమా చూస్తున్నాను.
If these two actions are happening the same time/simultaneously, we need to use durative participle. Please check out how the above present tense sentences change to durative participle in present tense.
నేను కాఫీ తాగుతూ, సినిమా చూస్తున్నాను.
Here are more examples with different subjects and verbs. As you have noticed in the above example, subject and verb agreement (నేను—— చూస్తున్నాను) is important in this paradigm.

- నా చెల్లి సంగీతం వింటూ, హోమ్ వర్క్ రాసుకుంటోంది.
- అమ్మమ్మ పుస్తకం చదువుతూ, మధ్యలో అమ్మతో మాట్లాడుతోంది.
- రవి రాసుకుంటూ రాసుకుంటూ మధ్యలో ఫోన్ చూసుకుంటున్నాడు.
- మేం లైబ్రరీకి వెళ్తూ, మధ్యలో ఎవరో కనిపిస్తే పలకరిస్తున్నాం.

- అమ్మ వంట చేస్తూ, అమ్మమ్మకి ఫోన్ చేసింది.
- రవి పొద్దున్న నడుస్తూ, మా ఇంటికి వచ్చాడు.
- వాడు వానలో తడుస్తూ, లైబ్రరీకి వెళ్ళాడు.
- ఉమ చాలా సేపు పుస్తకం చదువుతూ, టైమ్ చూసుకోలేదు.
