Here are some common phrases used at a marketplace. One should learn these before going for shopping.

Bangla Phrases & Sentences Transliteration English
কী লাগবে? ki lagbe? What will you need?
কী নেবেন? ki neben? What will you have?
খাতা আছে? khata ache? Do you have notebook?
কোনটা নেবেন? konTa neben? Which one do you want?
আমি এটা নেব। ami eTa nebo. I’ll buy this.
কত দাম? kOto dam? How much is this?
এটা খুব দামি। eTa khub dami. It is too expensive.
কোনো ছাড় আছে? kono chaR ache? Do you provide a discount?
সস্তা কিছু আছে? sOsta kichu ache? Do you have anything cheaper?
অন্য রং আছে? onno rOng ache? Do you have another color of this?
এটার দাম একটু কমাতে পারবেন? eTar dam ekoTu kOmate parben? Can you lower the price?
আরও একটা দিন। aro EkTa din Give me one more.
আমি ওটা চাই না। ami oTa chai na. I don’t need that.
আর কী? ar ki? What else?
আর কিছু না। ar kichu na. Nothing else.
আর কিছু লাগবে না। ar kichu lagbe na. I don’t need anything else.
আমি শুধু দেখছি। ami sudhu dekhchi. I’m just looking.
জুতো কোথায় কিনতে পাওয়া যায়? juto kothay kinte paoa jay? Where can I buy shoe?
