Chapter 2. Vegetarianism

Vegetarianism has become more popular nowadays. It is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat. It may also include abstaining from eating all by-products of animal slaughter. Vegetarianism may be adopted for various reasons. Many people object to eating meat out of respect for animal life or some health benefits.
At the end of this lesson, students are able to:
- identify different reasons why people become vegetarians.
- discuss benefits and stigma of being a vegetarian.
- express their opinion related to vegetarianism.
- identify the meanings of the prefix se- and use the prefix se- correctly in context.
